Director of Patient Financial Services:

I worked in a small 105 bed acute care hospital as the Director of Patient Financial Services. Accomplishments - 1) Highest & second highest one month cash collections in history of facility. 2) The longest sustained increase in level of cash collections. 3) Reduction of days in a/r from 68 to 46 days. 4) Reduced the gross monthly payer denials to 1/2 with 6 months. 5) Substantially improved their operational reporting mechanism.

Director of Information Systems:

I also worked in the same small 105 bed acute care hospital as the Director of Information Systems. Accomplishments - 1) Selection of new HIS system - Meditech. 2) Upgrading of Lanier dictation / transcription & Quadramed coding software. 3) Preparation of installation of SANS (system access node).

SAS70 Auditor:

I worked for several months as a SAS70 auditor for a Regional CPA firm auditing Medicare Fiscal Intermediares for compliance with the Washington DC directives and internal control standards.

Director of Business Office:

I worked as a Business Office Director in a Critical Access Hospital, Surgery Center, Diagnostic Center and about a dozen clinics. Accomplishments - 1) Helped them to convert their old legacy software to CPSI. 2) We increased their cash flow to the highest level in the history of the organization. 3) Substantially improved their operational reporting mechanism.
